Ann Stovall was born on July 6, 1931 to Everette and Gertha Kennedy in Louisville, Mississippi. She was the second daughter of 11 children. (Ann was known to her family as Tiny.)
Ann was educated at Richland Ridge School, Louisville, Mississippi. She was blessed to know God at an early age and throughout her 87 years and 11 months on this earth her love and faith in God never faltered. She was a member of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Ann loved her church family. Pastor and Sis. Davidson she loved you and your family dearly.
Ann married her husband Henry T. Stovall in Mishawaka, Indiana, on July 5, 1956. South Bend is where they made their home together for 65 years.
Ann was employed at Memorial Hospital as a Nurse Assistant until retirement where she made many lifetime friends. Ann also loved working in her yard tending to her flowers.
Five siblings preceded her in death: Alice, Shirley, Florine, Everett Jr., Joe Louis.
Ann leaves a host of family members to cherish her memory: her daughter, Johnnie Ruth; son-in-law, Oran Johnson (he would say her favorite son-in-law); granddaughter, Teri Ann Smith; four sisters: Ellouise Stricklin and Marjorie Kennedy both of Louisville, Mississippi, Jean Kennedy and Janice Kennedy Washington (Ted) of Woodlands, Texas; a brother, Bradford Kennedy Sr., of Louisville, Mississippi. She also leaves nephews and great-nephews, nieces and great-nieces as well as deep and abiding friendships.
