Annie R. Spearman

Annie Spearman, 76, of Ardmore Trail, South Bend, Indiana passed away Saturday October 19, 2019 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Indiana. She was born Annie Rean Allen to Lee Erskine and Maurine (Buchanan) Allen on June 14, 1943 in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Annie Rean from her union with Firdia Lee Johnson gave birth to daughter, Jacqueline Lynn (Pastor Gregory M.) Boswell, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a son Firdia Bernard Johnson of Burnsville, Minnesota; three grandchildren: Anrena N. Underwood, Leonda D. Johnson-Underwood of Indianapolis, Indiana, James Bernard Johnson.

Affectionately known as "Miss Ann" by many lived most of her early life in South Bend, Indiana graduating from Central High School. Thirty-plus of Miss Ann years were spent in Detroit, Michigan married to Leroy Ramsey where she shared in the rearing of two sons: Leroy and Reginald Ramsey of Detroit, Michigan. Miss Ann enjoyed her closeness to her surviving six siblings: Virgie Young, Mary Allen, Ruby Pearl Kyle of South Bend, Indiana, Johnni (Robert) Tombs of Elkhart, Indiana, Robert (Cathi) Allen of Wabash, Indiana, Shelia (Ron) Atkins, River Forest, Illinois with her relocation to South Bend.

Annie's parents; and brothers Erskine and Larry Allen preceded her in death.

Annie Rean was a true fashionista. A Diva among Divas. A trendy style setter for she loved beautiful clothing and was kind with her compliments when she saw another well-dressed. A true servant always willing to help others, she retired from Logan center when her health began declining yet staff and clients continue to visit with her.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to everyone that encouraged and cared for Annie. Special Thanks to Team Ann: Terry Donaldson, Murray Bishop, Michell Howell, Rosie Carrothers, Ruby Keaton, Jean (Cookie) Anderson,Ray Davis, Ken and Mary all of you never hesitated for a moment when you were called to check on Annie. Caregiver Zhaniece Armstrong and Transporter Kevin Fountain a wonderful help in her last days.
