James Willis

 Mr. James Willis was born February 17, 1934 in Tunica Mississippi to John and Lillie Willis- McKissick. 
  
   On March 10, 1954 he married Willie E. Stanford- Willis, in South Bend Indiana, where they resided until his demise. He departed this life November 17, 2017 at South Bend Memorial Hospital.
  
  Mr. Willis accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1998. He was a faithful member of Greater Wayside Temple Church Of God In Christ. He was appointed a Deacon in 2014.
  
  Mr. Willis retired from IUSB in 1999. He enjoyed watching wrestling and the Chicago Cubs. He also loved to watch Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson preaching on televsion. 
  
  He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 63 years, Willie Willis (South Bend, IN), one daughter, Marsha Samuels, 3 grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild all of Kankakee Illinois, one sister-in-law, Ruby Z. Wilderness of Gary Indiana, one brother-in-law, JT Stanford of South Bend Indiana along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 
  
  Preceding him in death are his parents, five sisters: Mary Tabor, Ann Davis, Francis Clark, Lillie Foster, Almarie Bradley and three brothers: Reverend John Willis, Jesse Willis, and Ulishes Willis.
  
  Funeral services for Mr. James Willis will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Pentecostal Cathedral Church Of God In Christ at 11:00 AM, with visitation at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, South Bend IN.
