Jason Thomas West, 50, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018.
Jason was born March 5, 1968 in South Bend, IN., to John T. and Lula Bell (Long) West, Sr.
Jason married Yvette Wigfall on June 10, 1995 in South Bend, IN. He worked for Saint Mary’s College as a floor technician. His passions were basketball, football, boxing and pitbulls.
Jason was preceded in death by his mother; Lula West, sister; Dianna Fultz and a brother; Mark West, Sr.; uncles Jacob Long, Sr. George Long; aunt; Sarah and Dottie Long; paternal grandparents; Jacob and Hester Long, Sr., and Annie Mae Fowler
Survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife; Yvette West of South Bend, IN., two daughters; Jasanna Temeka West of Evansville, IN., and JaNae’ Chante’ West of Philadelphia, PA., one son; Justin Thomas West, one grandchild; Aiyanna B. West, Kyla Perry and a expecting granddaughter, his father; John T. West, Sr., four sisters; Deborah West and Shannon (Marcus) Jackson all of South Bend, IN., Charlotte Ottbridge of Mishawaka, IN., and Tomeka Ford of Atlanta, GA., three brothers; Craig (Kathy) West of Mishawaka, IN., John T. West, Jr., and Robert Allen Williams, aunts; Laura Gray, Billie (Joseph) Wesley, Mable Long, Jeannette Long; uncles; Thomas Long, John Ellis Green, Robert Long; mother in law; Joan Wigfall Thompson, in-laws; Otis Wigfall, Celena (Jasma) Butler and Jenessa (Juan) Latin, his best friends; Tyron Turner, Paul and Carl Columbus, Damien Smith, Lester Johnson all of South Bend, IN., along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday., May 19, 2018 at Alford’s Mortuary with viewing from noon to 1:00 p.m., at Alford’s Mortuary.
