Jessie M. Long

Jessie Mae Long, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt formerly of Ford Street passed away at West Bend Nursing Home on Saturday, August 30, 2019.

Jessie was born in Delta, Mississippi, to Jessie Peterson and Florence Allen.

Jessie was a devoted Jehovah Witness and spoke passionate about God’s kingdom and believed in the future paradise and herself as one receiving the blessing of the paradise. Jessie was active in the ministry until the onset of her illness. Two of her favorite Bible characters were Noah and Moses.

Jessie was married to her husband, George Long for over twenty years. 

George preceded Jessie in death and she will rest beside him at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Jessie leaves to cherish her memories her only son, Leroy Clark; her grandchildren whom she help raise: Leroy Clark III, Jamil Clark, Malik Clark, Tranace Clark and Kendall Clark; a special daughter, Tameko (Dameka) Northern; her brother, James Jones; sister in law, Billie Wesley; brother in law, Joseph Wesley; many nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends and one’s she met at the nursing home.
