Joseph Taylor

 Joseph Thomas Taylor transitioned from his earthly body into the arms of the Lord Friday, October 6, 2017, at home peacefully surrounded by his family.
  Joseph was born July 29th, 1932 to Richard and Daisy Taylor in Brownsville, Tennessee. He grew up in Widener, Arkansas. In 1952, he moved to South Bend, Indiana.
  In 1955 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Viola Lottie.
  He worked for Empire Box Company for 17 years until its closing. He also drove Indiana Yellow Cab for 3 years, while he worked for South Bend Transpo for 30 years as a driver.
  He leaves to cherish his memories with: His wife of 61 years Viola Taylor, 3 Daughters: Sharon (Paul) Hawkins, Berneda (John) Bond, and Deidre Wright. 6 Sons: Raymond Taylor, Joseph Jr., (Karin) Taylor, Samuel Taylor, Vernon Taylor, Kenneth (Annette) Taylor, and Larinzo (Tamika) Wright, all of South Bend, Indiana and a Farm Son, Brad Mason of Bourbon, Indiana. 3 Sisters: Brenda Steele of Toledo, Ohio, Daisy Winborn and Lillian Taylor of South Bend, Indiana. 4 Brothers: Willie Taylor and James Taylor of South Bend, Indiana, Charles Harrison, and Dan Cunningham of Toledo, Ohio. A Special Nephew: Pastor Graylin (Sherlinn) Watson and his God sent Ram in The Bush: Nephew and Niece Kyle and Lori Ann Bowerman. 39 Grandchildren, 60 Great- Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren.
  We love and appreciate you and we thank you.
  He was preceded in death by his father Richard Taylor, Mother Daisy Taylor; 5 Sisters: Rose Bailey, Mary Watson, Martha Gilbert, Annie Perez, and Juanita Taylor; 2 Brothers: Edward Taylor and Richard Taylor; 1 Son: Ronald Taylor; 2 Grandsons: DeKari Anderson and Charles Roberts.
  His Funeral will be held October 14th, 12 noon at United Pentecostal Church (4609 South Irnowood St.) viewing 1 hour prior. Joseph Taylor’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alford’s Mortuary. You can visit our website at alfordsmortuaryinc.com.
