Kenneth Henson Obituary

Kenneth C. Henson was born April 1, 1942 in Lena, Mississippi to the late KB and Maud M. Johnson-Henson. He was the eldest child of twelve siblings.

Kenneth, affectionately known as KC, began his education in Lena, MS and continued it in the Indianapolis Public School System.

Kenneth’s parents heard the preached word by the late Elder James L. Sanders in Lena. The anointed word and love displayed by Elder Sanders drew them. Upon relocating to Indianapolis in 1956, KB and Maude joined Sanders Temple Church Of God In Christ. Kenneth confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at Sanders Temple and received the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Kenneth loved the Lord and was a gifted guitar player and singer. He loved his family and would often give guidance to his siblings, nieces and nephews. His favorite pass times were going fishing, watching Gunsmoke and Bonanza on television.

Kenneth was employed at and retired from Covance Laboratories in 2005.

Kenneth met and married the late Teresa Keeylen-Henson. To this union one child was born.

Kenneth met Georgia L. Rivers and married July 25, 1993. They were united for 25 years, 3 months and 26 days. He was a devoted and faithful member of Sanders Temple until his illness.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, KB and Maude M. Johnson-Henson, Brother, Jay Henson and Sister, Judy Henson.
