I grew up with the Cropes family on the Westside of Chicago. We lived in the 1800 block of South Harding. The Cropes family lived on the second floor over the Aikens store. They were a beautiful family. We called Mrs. Cropes Ruth never knowing her real name was Lou. LOL! I remember her son Emory very well. Thanks for sharing Lou Ethel with us. I USE TO WORK WITH LOU FOR ABOUT TEN YEARS AT MEMORIALS HOSPITAL FROM 1977 TO 1989 SHE WAS A BEAUTIFUL LADY TO WORK WITH ,I JUST FOUND OUT SHE PASSED CAUSE I MOVED AWAY, SHE WILL BE MISSED, EVERY BODY THAT SHE WORKED WITH LOVED HER , FROM THE NURSE TO THE DOCTORS. GOD JUST GAINED AN ANGEL, SORRY THIS IS LATE BUT JUST FOUND OUT.
