Louis Edwin Phillips

Louis Edwin Phillips, 67, of Sorin St., South Bend, IN., passed away at his residence on Oct. 7,
  2017.
  Louis was born May 20, 1950 in South Bend, IN., to Victor & Nettie (Smith) Phillips who both
  preceded him in death along with his siblings, Emmanuel Phillips, Louis Edward Phillips, Victor
  Phillips, Jr., William Phillips, Delores Knight, Elores Green, Juanita Dickerson, Dewilla
  Harding, Barbara Switzer and Vivian Phillips.
  Louis was honorably discharged from the United States Army after faithfully serving his
  country. He married Brenda L. Scott Pigee on Sept. 24, 1972 and she preceded him in death on
  June 7, 2014. He worked as a factory laborer for various different companies.
  Survivors left to cherish his memory include three sisters, Mary (Lucy) Oliver, Margie Phillips
  and Lorene Lax along with numerous nieces and nephews who dearly loved him.
  Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Alford’s Mortuary with
  viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
