Murray Collins

Murray F. Collins 63 of South Bend, IN passed away, January 3 2019 being released from active duty as an excellent husband, loving father, great father, greater grandfather, accomplished Son, protective devoted brother, lively uncle and comical cousin, under Honorable status. Murray Floyd Collins was born October 2, 1955 to the union of Ceasar & Alice Collins. He attended Cleveland Public Schools until joining the United States Marine Corp; specializing in radio communications. Touring in the evacuation of The Vietnam War from 1973-1975. He met Betty, the love of his life in 1977; married her in 1978. He worked for NASA research center as an electrical engineer, until becoming an entrepreneur owning a few city delicatessans/bars and construction company until he decided to retire. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Betty Collins, his daughters Marquita Collins and Mur’Nique Collins. His grandsons ZyQuis Collins, Joseph Walker III, Zykeen Slade, Willie Collier and Oustin Collier. His mother Alice Jeffries (Madison Hts, MI). His siblings Shari (Kelvin) Shields (Madison Hts,MI), Allen Jeffries (Cleveland, OH) James Jeffries Jr. (Bonnie) Virginia Beach, Va, Frankie Jeffries Pre-deceased.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Murray will be Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Alford's Mortuary at 12 Noon with a one-hour viewing prior. Repast at Bethelem Baptist Church 24393 Fillmore Rd South Bend, IN 46619 at 2pm.
