Timothy Brown

Timothy Bernard Brown, 52, of Elkhart, Indiana, departed his earthly life on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 3:35 p.m., at Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart, Indiana, after a very brief illness. He was born September 15, 1966 in Trenton, Tennessee, to Shirley Brown Abernathy.

Cherished precious memories with his mother: four daughters: DeAngela Underwood (Chris Bonds), Lakeisha (Antonio) Cates,  Serenity Meadow, all of Elkhart, Indiana, and Shanissa Yarbrough of Humboldt, Tennessee, Cherlisa (Derald Sr.) Gray and James Taylor both of South Bend, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; a lifelong best friend, Gladys Underwood; an aunt; Barbara (Rev. Joseph) Mayweathers; uncles: Pastor Danny (Martha), Billy “Bubba", Lynn Brown, all of Elkhart, Indiana; great-aunt, Virginia Berry; great-uncles: Bill and Harry Brown, all of Tennessee; and a favorite cousin, Sylvia Fields-Green of Elkhart, Indiana.

Tim was preceded in death by his granddaughter; step-father,  Rev. Kenneth Abernathy; grandparents: Mac and Dorothy Edwards-Brown; and four uncles: Jimmy, Henry, Stevie and Anthony “Hee” Brown.

Tim was a well known “DJ" in Tennessee and Indiana. He was an avid music lover and once won a “Michael Jackson” dance contest. He will also be remembered for his cool tandem bike and his love of cooking and spending time with his family.
