Willia Mae Cotton was born May 18, 1943 in Monroe, Mississippi to the late Willie “Bill” Campbell and Ella Mae Campbell.
She departed this life January 13, 2018 at Saint Joseph Health System.
Willia accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church in Monroe, Mississippi.
Willia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roosevelt and Earnestine Brown, two sisters, Billy June Campbell and Selma C. Treadway, one aunt, Irene Adams, and two uncles, Jack and Fred Brown.
Willia was relocated from Mississippi to South Bend, Indiana.
She met and married MC Cotton and three children were born from this union; LaVanda Carr, Glenn, and Diana Cotton.
She joined Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, pastored by Reverend Dave Davis, where she worked faithfully in the church.
Mrs. Cotton leaves to cherish her memory; her husband MC Cotton, two brothers, Tommy (Judy) Campbell, Ontario, CA, Glean E. Campbell of McCall Creek, Ms., two sisters Clara (Manson) Davis of South Bend, IN., Sara (John) Robertson of Smithdale, MS., Mattie Jane (Johnnie) Smith of Brookheaven, MS., and Rosie (Varnell) Thadison of Lloyd Star, MS., 10 Grandchildren, 35 Great-Grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
