Albert Walker

Albert Walker, 56, of Western Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, passed away July 13, 2020 Hospice House, Roseland, Indiana. Albert “Al” Walker was born September 20, 1963, to the union of Mr. & Mrs. Johnny L. and Ammie L. Walker Sr. in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Albert and his family moved to Chicago, Illinois, in 1968. He loved his family, sports, playing cards, and gathering for the collard greens every now and then (lol). He then moved to South Bend, Indiana, in 1994 where he lived until his passing.

Albert “Al” leaves to cherish his memory his five sisters: Minvera “sister” Grisham, Joeann “Ann” (Malachi) Walker, Charrie L. (Dennis) Walker Early, Cassandra B. (Ernie) Hicks and Inez E. Black; three brothers: Johnny Walker Jr, Roy L. Walker, and David Walker; aunt; Rose Grisham of Chicago, Illinois; two uncles: Haywood and Michael Walker of Alabama; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also had his special pride and joy: Lonnell Walker, Jacquawn Walker, Jakarta L. Walker; his cousin, Terrell Mason, and April Anderson.

Albert “Al” was preceded in death by both parents: Johnny Sr and Ammie; aunt, Ermie Mason; brother, Thomas L. Walker; great-niece, Shaunte Stenson; and a niece, Dorothy “Dot” Walker.

Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
