Alesia Gail James, age, 56 of Columbus, Ohio, affectionately known as “Lisa” passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus Ohio with her family by her side.
At an early age, Lisa professed a hope in Christ under the leadership of Reverend F.D. Johnson of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in South Bend, Indiana. After moving to Columbus, Ohio she attended New Salem Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Doctor Keith A. Troy.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 18 years, Johnson S. James IV; and their son, Johnson S. James V. Children: Son Paul Peterson, Daughter, Shuletta James; and two grandchildren: Maurice Harris and Triniti Harris of Ashville, North Carolina. Her mother, Cleaster Kilgore, South Bend, Indiana; her sister, Janie Williams Cole, Col; her brother, Johnnie (Mary) McBride, Mishawaka, Indiana. A nephew, Zenicko Williams; her niece, Zowandra Lee Hunt; her great-niece, Trinity Williams of South Bend, Indiana. Inherited siblings: Richard Townsend, Donna (James) Harris, Bonnie Townsend, of South Bend Indiana, Donald Townsend of Logansport, Indiana, Laura Townsend of Stone Mountain, Georgia; and a host of family and friends.
Lisa is preceded in death by her father, James Arthur Williams; her brother, James Michael Williams.
