Alva Angland Andrews III

Alva Angland Andrews III was born on October 5, 1969, to the union of Alva Andrews II (deceased) and Myrtha Lee Fultz-Andrews-McKinney. Alva passed from this earth on October 16, 2021, in his sleep, at the age of 52.

Alva resided in Clarksville Tennessee, since July 2018, with his mother. Alva leaves to cherish his memories three daughters and one son. Shernisha ( Mac Williams) of South Bend, Ashia (Deshae) Reid of Clarksville, TN, Latisha of Indianapolis, and Alva A. Andrews 4th of South Bend, IN.

Alva is survived by his mother, four natural brothers, and three natural sisters: Sonia of Indianapolis, Andre (Donna) of South Bend, Damian Andrews of Missouri, and Sean Earl O’Neal of South Bend, Lavaar, Aldreana and Shauntessa Luster of South Bend; Alva’s stepfamily includes four step-brothers and two step-sisters: James Larry and Theresa McKinney of Tupelo, MS. Donnie, Gary and Gerald McKinney of South Bend and Tammy Wright of South Bend, IN; and a host of relatives and friends.

Alva was preceded in death by his father, Alva Andrews II; and Alva Andrews, his paternal grandfather; his maternal grandparents Robert and Queen Porter; and his stepfather, James H. McKinney; 2 stepbrothers: Jeffrey McKinney and Henry Perry; and an aunt, Denise Andrews.

Alva loved to cook, fish, and tell jokes. He loved family and friends. He made friends where ever he went. He was brave and caring. He was his mother’s caregiver before he passed away. “All I can say is he took good care of me even though he was legally blind”, she said.

Isaiah 58:6,7 says: 6 "Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?  7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? When thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and thou cover him; and thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?"
