Andrew Hoover Theus

Very early on Friday morning Andrew peacefully departed this life at West Bend Nursing & Rehabilitation in South Bend Indiana. Andrew Hoover Theus was born on June 28, 1931, in Jackson Tennessee to the union of Lula and Andy Theus.

He was united in holy matrimony to Pearlean (Winston )Theus on Tuesday, February 5,1952. They moved to South Bend Indiana in 1965. He purchased an apartment building on Lafayette Street in South Bend, Indiana where they raised their four children.

After the sale of the apartment building, he purchased a home at 117 Woodhill Lane in South Bend, Indiana. This is where he resided until long after he retired from AM General where he worked for 40 years.

As Andrew’s health started to fail he moved into an assisted living facility, where he remained until he was transported to West Bend Nursing & Rehabilitation.

He was preceded in death by both parents; his wife; two brothers: James and Odell Theus; one daughter, Betty Harris; two sisters-in-law: Elsrine, and Fannie Lou Theus; and one brother-in-law Frank Fuller.

Andrew leaves to remember the good times they shared together, his firstborn son, Andy (Pearl) Theus Jr. of Granger Indiana; one daughter, Luvern Nettles of Aurora, Colorado; his youngest son, Tony (Stephanie) Theus also of Aurora, Colorado; and his only sister, Fannie J. Fuller of Jackson Tennessee; 13 grandchildren: Andy Earl, Myran, Ricky, Terrence, Brandon, Cedric, Michael, Tanya, Erica, Ralonda, Jackie, Raven, and Shnana; 16 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
