Anita Mae Mullins

Anita Mae Mullins, a devoted servant of her faith and a beacon of love and generosity, passed away on November 18, 2025. Born on August 23, 1933, in Keystone, Wells, IN, Anita's journey of life has been a testament of steadfast faith and unwavering dedication. As the Psalmist beautifully put it, "Her delight was in the law of the Lord, and on His law, she meditated day and night." (Psalms 1:2)

In August of 1986, Anita was wed to Rev. Ralph "Moon" Mullins Jr. She was a spirited woman who, for many years alongside her husband served her church, New Creation Fellowship in South Bend, Indiana, before retiring. Her faith was her cornerstone, guiding her actions and decisions throughout her life. She was a loving mother-figure to many, her home was always open to those in need. Her generous heart and vibrant spirit touched many lives, leaving a lasting impact that will be remembered for decades to come. She found joy and fulfillment in her faith and shared this passion with all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Anna Moore, her beloved husband Rev. Ralph Mullins Jr., and her four siblings, Carla Custard, Patricia Bryant, Sandra Grice and Richard Moore. She is survived by her son, Neal Oakes, granddaughter, Jennifer Oakes as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends who will continue to honor her legacy of love, faith, and generosity.

A celebration of Anita's life will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 3:00 pm EST, at Alford's Mortuary, located at 1222 Napier Street, South Bend, Indiana, 46601. We invite all who knew Anita to join us in honoring her life and her unwavering dedication to her faith.
