Annie Faye Owens 71, of Elkhart, Indiana gained her wings and was called home to be with the lord on March 26, 2021. Annie was born October 11, 1949, in Tyronza, Arkansas to Edgar and WillaMetta (Caldwell) Pulluaim.
She graduated from Tyronza High School with high honors. The family relocated to Elkhart, Indiana in 1968. She worked at Whitehall, Federal Paperboard, retiring from Bayer.
Annie was a strong believer in God and accepted the Lord at an early age. She was a member of Cherry Beam Church in Tyronza, Arkansas where she was baptized. She was a strong-willed woman who loved her family and friends which considered her the Matriarch of the family. She was very giving and there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her family. She was an inspiration and one of the best examples of a strong, independent black female.
Annie leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Gloria Faye Taylor of Georgia, Ellen (Shawn) Grattenthaler; a son, Cornelius Owens; grandchildren: Krista Hennings, Kellie Hennings, Anastasha (Corbin) McCoy of California, Allisa Taylor of Georgia, Julius Henderson, Michael Taylor of Elkhart, and Dashaun Taylor of Elkhart; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Lurine White of Georgia, Gloria Jackson of Elkhart, and Sandra Williams of Elkhart; a special goddaughter, Ruthie Furlow of Elkhart; along with a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dale Ivory; and a daughter, Gale Ivory; four brothers: Joe, Lamar, Therman, and Lawerance Pulluaim.
