Anthony Hayes Taylor, a resident of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on May 13, 2023.
Anthony was born in Jackson, Michigan to the union of Superintendent Hayes and Phyllis Marie (Harper) Taylor. Anthony was educated in the South Bend Community School Corporation. He was employed in retail in the South Bend area. He was an artist that loved to draw pictures of family and friends, spend time with Club Duo, family group of first cousins, Harpo’s and Harper’s. In his younger years, he was a member of Mount Zion COGIC in Buchanan, Michigan under the leadership of the late Pastor Melton Burton Sr. Anthony also took long trips with his family to visit family and friends in Ozan, Arkansas.
Anthony leaves to cherish his memory. His parents, Superintendent Hayes and Elect Lady Phyllis M. Harper-Taylor; god-sister, D`Lana Alford; a very close friend, Miss Rhoshanda Baker; his aunts and uncles, Celestine Harper, Clark Harper, Catherine Washington, Floyd and Judith Taylor, all of South Bend, Indiana, Fay Erby of Dallas, Texas, Cherly May of Dayton, Ohio, Edith Harper and Lenard Harper of San Francisco, California, Eva Matts of Gary, Indiana. John Taylor of Ozan, Arkansas, Clarence Taylor of Los Angeles, California; the Lax family whom he loved dearly; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Anthony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clark and Lois Harper; maternal grandparents; Lauther and Mary Taylor, along with other loved ones.
