Anthony Walker Obituary

Anthony Earl Walker, affectionately known as “Tony” departed this life peacefully at his residence in South Bend, Indiana the evening of Wednesday, July 7, 2021, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Mr. Walker was born on August 9, 1963, to the late Carolyn Mays and Walter Walker. Anthony (Tony) Walker was a well-dressed lady's man that had a love for nice flashy cars. He was a LaSalle High School Alumni that was well known for his participation on the track field. Tony was a Track Star that set numerous records gaining plenty of recognition at LaSalle High School in 1981. Tony was employed at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana for a very long time.

Anthony spent most of his days spending time with his family, watching basketball games, and watching family game shows. His all-time favorite family show was Family Feud. Anthony was a people person, always having a conversation to talk about and in his response back to you would be "alright nah " or "yes sir".  It was never a dull moment with Anthony, he was full of love and life. He loved to give it to everyone he was around or came in contact with. 

He leaves to cherish his memories of his children: Tyreece (Keisha) Walker, Zikeia Walker, and Tyshee Walker all of Indianapolis, Indiana, Micah (Danyelle) Walker, Shataya (Jamall) Delk, and Marquis Taylor all of South Bend, Indiana. Also left to cherish Tony’s memories is his siblings: Donyele (James) Gladney of South Bend, Indiana, Kimberly James of North Carolina, Regina Lottie of California, and Krissy Walker of Maryland; brothers: Darrell Mays and Terrence Agnew of South Bend, Indiana, Darwin Walker of Louisville, Kentucky and Kenton Miller of Nashville, Tennessee; a special Aunt Ruby Walker of South Bend, Indiana. Tony was cared for by two special caregivers: Teri Green and Deborah (Cookie) Green. Tony has three long-time friends that he grew up with and shared a brotherhood with: James (Blue) Robinson, David (D.J) Johnson, K.K. Ellis. Tony also leaves to cherish his memory 12 grandchildren and an overloading host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; and his brother, Brian (Nook) Umble.
