Billy TuLee Merriweather

Mr. Billy Carl Merriweather, 51 of North O’Brien Street, South Bend, Indiana passed from this life on Saturday, October 31, 2021. Billy was born on September 25, 1970, in South Bend to the union of Billy Carl and Dianne (Womack) Merriweather. As a life-long resident, he received his formal education in the South Bend public schools, graduating from LaSalle High School.

He was employed by the Mishawaka Housing Authority and also the South Bend Tribune.

Billy was a lifetime member of Pentecostal Cathedral where he sang in the original Junior Voices. In addition, he was an Armor Bearer for Bishop Alford in both the local church and jurisdiction.  Among his favorite things to do were hunting, fishing, and taking rides out of town.

Loved ones who survive include his mother, Diane Merriweather of South Bend; three daughters, Carla Merriweather, Lana Merriweather, and Cheyenne Merriweather; one son, DeVon Merriweather, all of South Bend, Indiana; a sister, Tanisha Armstrong of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; a niece, Artanitra Neal; a nephew, Antonio Neal; and his fiancé`, Shaundra Gilkey.

Family members who preceded him in death were his father, Billy Carl Merriweather; maternal grandparents, James and JoAnn Womack; and paternal grandparents, John and Mattie Merriweather.
