Charise L. Gregory

Charise LaJune ''Muffin" Lawrence-Gregory, 57, of South Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning May 7, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana with her loving daughters at her bedside. Charise was born July 5, 1962 in Bellville, Illinois to the late Apostle Tommie D. and Evangelist Charlesetta G. (Moore) Lawrence.

Charise accepted the Lord as a child under the leadership of her parents at God's House of Prayer For All Nations in Peoria, Illinois/Los Angeles, California. Charise affectionately called "CheeChee by her Mom would often render a solo singing "Only What You Do For Christ Will Last.'' Which ended up being her favorite hymn. Charise rededicated her life to the Lord and became a member of Kingdom Life Christian Cathedral under the leadership of Apostle Michael and Pastor Tina Patton.

Charise attended Marshall Fundamental High School. She was an entrepreneur for the majority of her life in the housekeeping industry. Charise united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life Kirk Gregory on July 8, 1994, in Edwardsville, Illinois. Charise enjoyed being a wife, mother, and full time "NaNa" that always created a safe-haven for her grandchildren. 

Charise had a heart of gold. If you needed a meal or a place to stay, she never hesitated to open her doors. She was teased being called the "neighborhood's  God Mother!''  She had a smile that could light up any room and a laugh that was contagious. Charise expressed her love to her children and grands with family gatherings. Charise enjoyed traveling and spending time with her sister Christ'l. Charise believed in looking and smelling good. She loved anything in the color of lavender. 

Charise was preceded in death by her parents: Apostle Tommie D. and Evangelist Charlesetta L. Lawrence,  grandmother Lillie B. Tarvin, two brothers Terrell B. Lawrence Sr. and Latasca Davis, nephew Terrell B. Lawrence II, her in-laws: L.C. Smith and Delores Gregory.

Charise leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband, Kirk Gregory; two biological daughters Charmelle Lawrence and Charelle Lawrence; only son, Thormonn  Lawrence (his OG), daughter of love Da'Shendria Radford; nine grandchildren: Tomi Lawrence, Miraca Lawrence, Shenice Lawrence, Simona Lawrence, Thomansonn Steed, Tavion Lawrence, Tavonta Lawrence, Roosevelt Stewart Jr., and Toryiah Lawrence, all of South Bend, Indiana; four sisters: Apostle Christ’l Lawrence of Granite City, Illinois, Margaret Lawrence-Davis of South Bend, Indiana, Carmen Ella Ware and Angel Ware both of Germany; one brother Edward Smith of Jefferson City, Missouri,  niece Marquelle Lawrence, uncles: Tyrone (Temia) Tarvin Sr. of Los Angeles, California, and Anthony Tarvin of East St. Louis, Illinois; She also leaves to cherish her memories a multitude godchildren/grands, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
