Charles Graham, 88, of South Sheridan St., South Bend, IN., passed away at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at West Bend Nursing Home.
Charles was born June 9, 1929 in New Albany, MS., to Nathaniel and Maria (Gorden) who both preceded him in death along with four brothers; Larry, James, John and Nathaniel Graham, four sisters; Flossie Towels, Inez Redding, Henrietta Byrd and Lorene Holmes.
Charles moved to South Bend at a early age. He attended Linden Elementary and graduated from Central High School. He was honorary discharged from the United States Army after serving in the Korean War. He was a member of Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church where he served in the Senior Choir, Mass Choir, BTU, Sunday school and Brotherhood.
Charles united in holy matrimony to Josie Best in 1965.
Survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife; Josie Graham, one daughter; Toni Graham, two grandchildren; Charles (Toneishai) Graham and Randall Lewis all of South Bend, IN., one sister; Annie Moore of Brownsburg, IN., four sister in laws; Janie Graham and Wauline Graham both of South Bend, IN., Helen Johnson of Fort Lauderdale, FL., and Mattie Suggs of Bridgeville, DE., along with other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 with viewing from 10:00 a.m., to 11:00 a.m.
