Charles D. Ivory

Charles Dennis Ivory, 72, of Bonds Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 4:14 p.m., on Sunday, May 24, 2020, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Indiana. Charles was born in Bolivar, Tennessee, to Elmo and Mabell (Willis) Ivory on April 24, 1948.

Charles enjoyed working on cars, playing cards, and just enjoying life.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings: Emma Jean Ivory, Maxine Perry, and Luther Ivory.

Charles leaves to mourn his passing two daughters: Lugema Wright of Wichita, Kansas, and Charlotte Denise Edwards; one son, Charles Dennis Edwards; two adopted daughters: Alice Edwards and Joyce Edwards; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, three sisters: Chestine Pope, all of South Bend, Indiana, Betty Sue (Curtis) Walker and Debra Ivory, one brother; W.T. Ivory all of Bolivar, Tennessee, three step-children; Barbara Ann (Michael) Profitt and Joyce Wright both of Wichita, Kansas, and Eddie Wright of St. Louis, Missouri, a special friend; Essie Edwards of South Bend, Indiana, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Burial will take place in Bolivar, Tennessee.
