Clay C. Wheeler

Clay Clark Wheeler of Elkhart, Indiana passed on April 12, 2023, at 701 N. Main Street Mishawaka, Indiana after a short battle with cancer. He was born on July 15, 1955, in Elkhart, Indiana to the late Clarence Wheeler Sr. and Ernestine Williams [Wheeler]. He was born on July 15, 1955, in Elkhart, Indiana to the late Clarence Wheeler Sr. and Ernestine Williams [Wheeler].

He served our Country as Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corp. Proceeding him in rest is his wife, Mitzia [Ray] Wheeler; his brothers, Sylvester Wheeler, Clarence Wheeler Jr.; and four sisters: Joyce Moton, Geraldine Walker, Barbara Woods, and Carolyn Carruthers.

Those left to keep all of his memories alive are his two sisters: Hilda [Donnell] Norah and Julie Wheeler better known as ‘DoBaby’; his sons: Clay [Kelly] Smith, better known as ‘Lil' Clay,’ Carlos Bates; and his daughters: Nikita [Wesley] Butler and Mamie Bates; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
