Dennis Cephus

Dennis “Seaweed” Cephus passed away peacefully at home on October 17, 2020, after a lengthy terminal illness.

Dennis was a great lover of sports and excelled in most. He was an excellent pool player and bowled well. Also, he enjoyed old school music immensely, especially The O’Jays. He served time in the Armed Forces.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Wilma Jean (Buchanon) Cephus; and father, Emory Cephus; also a brother, John Cephus.

Dennis leaves to cherish his memory a sister, Valerie; and a brother, Julian “Tony” Cephus; a son, Dennis L. Cephus; five daughters: Dennae and Diamond Cephus, all of Indianapolis, Indiana, Donna and Tiffany (Travis) Cephus, both of South Bend, Indiana and Jamia (Dale) Greenwood of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren; a lifetime friend, Carla Peat; a special cousin, Tina “Sud” Sutherland; and a special friend, The original baby mama, Tonya “Pebbles” Williams.
