Desmond Marquis Taylor was born on September 8, 1996, in South Bend, Indiana to Ernest Lamont Taylor, and Latrice Nicole Bradley.
He was a beacon of joy, who departed this life on Friday, June 14, 2024. He was a security guard for “We Secure You” who tragically lost his life while working in Columbus, Ohio. He was shot and killed alongside fellow security guard Ceilin Smith.
Desmond Marquis Taylor, a cherished gentle giant with a heart of gold, left us way too soon. His presence touched the lives of many, including Chris Brown and Lil Meech. Desmond was more than just a security guard; he was a beacon of strength and kindness. His legacy as a kind-hearted giant will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He received his formal education in South Bend, Indiana. Desmond’s years of growing up in South Bend were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family. Desmond loved the Lord, he was very athletic, who participated in a range of sports.
As a young child he would ride his bicycle as if he were trying out for the Olympics. He was very respectful and kindhearted. He loved his family tremendously. One of his greatest moments was performing as Michale Jackson at his grandmother’s birthday party!
He leaves to cherish his memory, his father Ernest Lamont Taylor, Virgina Garner South Bend, Indiana. His Mother Latrice Nicole Bradley, Columbus, Ohio, great grandmother, Mother Della White, Therese Spann Taylor who during his childhood nurtured and raised him in becoming the man that he was. His greatest joy was the blessing of his family. Those who will cherish his memory, sisters, Deziray Tayor, Dynasty Taylor, Indianapolis, Indiana, De-Ayjah Taylor, Huston, Texas, Dasia Taylor, South Bend, Indiana, and Tarikka, Miller, South Bend, and Shamaiyah Bradley, Columbus Ohio. His brothers, Damon Taylor, Oceanside, California, Dominick Taylor, South Bend, Indiana, Damarius Bradley, Izariyah Bladley, Torriano Bladley and Chaadash Edwards, Columbus, Ohio, and a host of loved ones, family and friends who loved him dearly.
Desmond was preceded in death by his grandmothers Eva Jeanetta Taylor, and Donna Bradley. His grandfather, James Valentine, Jr. His Uncles, Michael Taylor, and John Steve White “Big UNC “.
