Eddie Myers

Beloved husband, stepfather, grandfather, brother, and family man, Eddie Myers, 66, of South Bend, Indiana transitioned unexpectedly on March 21, 2026, leaving those who loved him devastated.

Eddie (affectionately known as Eddie Boy) was born on January 16, 1960, in Belzoni, Mississippi. Eddie was born to the union of the late Sidney Eddie Myers Jr and Hattie B. Myers.

Eddie grew up in Mississippi where he attended school in Washington County School District. Eddie resided in Mississippi during his early years of life before moving to South Bend, Indiana to be closer to his sisters. Eddie worked in a variety of fields throughout the years, primarily, working on cars something that he had a passion for. In fact, prior to Eddie’s transition to heaven, he and his special cousin, Jermaine Smith, started a business offering mechanical services on automobiles. Typically, you could find Eddie spending time with his wife and grandchildren on the weekends, something he cherished doing dearly. If Eddie wasn’t busy working on cars, you could find him on just about any body of water fishing, enjoying a certain adult beverage, or simply hanging with his family laughing in his highly contagious tone. Eddie was truly a person that fit in perfectly with every walk of life largely due to his welcoming demeanor to everyone he encountered.

Eddie leaves behind his wife, Rita Myers, stepson Johnny (Andrea) Clark all of South Bend, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three sisters Rosie B. Thornton, Mae Emma Jefferson, both of Cleveland, Ohio and Viola (James) Sims of South Bend, Indiana, eleven nephews, 9 nieces, and a host of other family members and friends that will forever cherish the everlasting impact Eddie had on their lives.

In heaven, Eddie will be joining his parents, Sidney Eddie Myers Jr and Hattie B. Myers, his maternal grandparents Leflora and Grant Walker, paternal grandfather Sidney Eddie Myers Sr, three sisters Annie Webster, Lula Jones, and Beverly Myers, two uncles, Mitchell Walker and Tommy Clark, three nephews, Kiseal Sims, Keith Myers, and La-Terrance Jones, and 1 niece Jackie Thornton. Though Eddie is absent from our sight, he will never be absent from our hearts and minds.
