Edward J. Moore

Edward James Moore, 78, of Meade Street, South Bend, Indiana passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022. Edward was born in Wyatt, Missouri on July 4, 1942, to Clarence and Mae Willie Chisem who both preceded him in death; along with a grandmother, Phylis Chisem; aunts, Slossie (Joe Jr.) Archie-Smith, Auguster Jones, and Martha Smith.

Edward married Elizabeth Holman in 1962 and to this union one child was born, Tijuana Moore. Elizabeth Moore preceded him in death. He later married Vera Terry on January 16, 1971, and became parents to two children: Kizzy Moore and Edward James Moore Jr. Edward loved sports, especially basketball.

Survivors left to cherish his memory include three daughters: Tijuana (Warner) Moore Lewis of Cleveland, Ohio, Kizzy Moore and Shawna Moore; two sons Edward James Moore Jr. and Omar Moore all of Chicago, Illinois; four grandchildren: Jeremy, Tanganyika, Tierra, and Ja'dore; one great-grandchild, Ja'rele; an aunt, Shirley Toney; his stepfather, Marshall Bell; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
