Mr. Edward White, identical twin brother of Elbert, was born November 9, 1938, in Jayess, Mississippi, to Nehemiah and Edna White. Edward was the third of eight children born to this union. The family later relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana, where he and his siblings were raised.
Edward moved to Chicago, Illinois in the 1960s where he began working for his uncle as a truck driver at JW Bedford Sugar Supply. In 1968, Edward met Josephine Wells, the couple fell in love and were married in 1973. When Edward was not working, you were likely to find him somewhere fishing or enjoying quality time with the loves of his life: his wife, children and grandchildren, listening to his favorite artist, Chuck Berry, his favorite song, "Maybelle", or in quiet time with God.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Raymeal Green-Hughes and Genette White; two brothers, James Thomas White and Johnny Ray White; two grandsons, Patrick Wells, Sr., and Palaiedis Newman; and granddaughter, Tatianna Wells-Love.
Edward leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Josephine White; five daughters, Lenora (Emorse) Newman, Regina Wells, Opalruth (David) Wells-Pink, Yolanda Wells and Octavia Wells; three brothers, Elbert (May) White, McArthur (Josephine) White, and Herbert (JoAnn) White; one sister-in-law, Helen Elliott-Crigler; five grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
