Elijah D. Hereford

Elijah Damelle Hereford, age 24, beloved son, brother, and grandson, who resided on Curtis Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana went to be with the Lord on at 3:25 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Elijah was born to Jeneen Thomas(Danzy) and Brian Lee Hereford on September 30, 1995 in South Bend, Indiana.

He attended Riley High School and worked as a general laborer for Forge Industrial Staffing. He later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to better his life. His hobbies included family time, cooking, hanging with his brothers, spending quality with his children and helping his grandparents. Elijah loved people, had a remarkable smile, a heart of gold and a great sense of humor.

Elijah was proceeded in death by his father, Brian Lee Hereford; and paternal grandfather, James Curtis Hereford.

Survivors left to cherish his memory include his children: Breasia Gentry, Kattaleia Hereford, Sophia Hereford, Karter Hereford and Brylin Hereford of South Bend, Indiana and Aileyah Hereford of Indianapolis Indiana; his mother, Jeneen Thomas (Danzy); stepfather, Darrell Danzy of South Bend, Indiana; four sisters: Bryanna Hereford of South Bend, Indiana, Samaria Thomas of Indianapolis Indiana, Jeneen Wright and Tyara Wright of South Bend, Indiana; six brothers: Andrew Wright and Adrien Wright of Indianapolis Indiana, Tiance Wright and Demar Wright of South Bend, Indiana Breon and Braxton Hereford of Mishawaka Indiana; seven aunts: Josephine Thomas of Indianapolis Indiana, Valerie Thomas and Michelle Thomas of Mishawaka Indiana, Jaime Thomas (Jones) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Nakema Hereford of South Bend, Indiana, Kea Jennings of Benton Harbor Michigan, and Leslie Thomas of Texas; five uncles: Henry Thomas, Michael Thomas and Tito Jennings all of South Bend, Indiana, Ikeith Jennings of Benton Harbor, Michigan, and Oyungo Jones of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; maternal grandparents, Henry and Roselee Thomas of South Bend, Indiana; paternal grandmother Carmen Hereford(Jennings); along with a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. Special thanks to Justice of South Bend.
