Elvester Harris

With heartfelt sorrow and deep love, the family of Elvester Harris announces her peaceful passing on April 22, 2025, at the age of 78. Elvester was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, loving great-grandmother, and a treasured friend to many. Her life was a beautiful testament to strength, faith, and unconditional love.

Elvester was born on March 1, 1947, in Montgomery, Alabama, to the late Ben Vinson and Willie Mae Crowder. She was raised with strong values of family, faith, and perseverance, which she carried with her throughout her life.

She was the proud mother of four children and is preceded in death by her beloved son, Michael Gilbert. She leaves behind her devoted children Edward Crowder, Tina Gilbert, and William Gilbert, who carry forward her legacy with pride and love.

Elvester was the heart of her family and found her greatest joy in the time spent with her loved ones. She was a proud and caring grandmother to Tatiyana Styles, Torrian Gilbert, Trey'v'yon Gilbert, and Christina Gilbert. Her legacy continues through her great-grandson, Tayvion Brown-Styles, along with a host of extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Elvester will be remembered for her nurturing soul, gentle wisdom, and the unwavering strength she showed throughout her life. Her presence was a gift, and her love left an imprint that will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.

As she requested, there will be no service. The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, support, and prayers during this time of mourning.
