Ernestine (Word) McLin, a resident of Mishawaka, Indiana passed from this life on Sunday, April 3, 2023, at the age of 87.
Ernestine was born on January 9, 1936, in Trenton, Tennessee, to Nathaniel Word and Emma (Shaw) Terrell. She received her education in Trenton, Tennessee. She was married in Kansas City, Missouri to Floyd McLin. Ernestine was a homemaker.
Ernestine leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Marian (Robert) Butler of South Bend, Indiana, sons, James (Loretta) Thomas and Andre McLin, both of South Bend, Indiana, and Roosevelt Thomas of Elizabeth Town, Kentucky; 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; a sister, Aretha Pearl Golston; and a brother, Kevin Williams, both of Kansas City, Missouri.
Love-ones who preceded her in death include her husband, Floyd McLin; sons, David Renee Parker. And Danny Eugene Thomas; her mother, Emma Terrell; her father, Nathaniel Word; and a brother, Nathaniel Word Jr.
