Mother Fannie Mae Smith transitioned from this life to glory at 9:30 am, Tuesday, August 26, 2025. She was born in Ripley, TN, in 1942. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Mother Fannie Mae Smith was a devoted believer in Christ.


Mother Fannie Mae Smith was a prayer warrior and was filled with the holy ghost. She was a proud member and church mother at Kingdom Apostolic Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Lambert Gates, Sr.


Mother Fannie Mae Smith is survived by three daughters: Theresa, Francine and Martha, one son: Rodney, two sisters: Erma Owens and Willie Mae (Doll) Owens, two brothers: Louis Owens and Nathaniel Owens, 75 grandchildren, 90 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.


Mother Fannie Mae Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Willie B. Owens, her two children: Margaret Ann Gordon and James L. Gordon, siblings: Robert James Owens, Sammy L. Owens and Robbie Sue Randolph and three grandchildren.
