Flora Noreen Maxwell, 39, born April 24, 1981, in South Bend, Indiana to Carole Thompson and Bruce Maxwell. Flora was raised to love GOD, to trust, and to serve HIM with gladness! Growing up in Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, South Bend, Indiana. Flora accepted the Lord as her Savior, sang in the mass choir, served in the youth group, and attended Sunday School. Flora was committed to family and understanding of her uniqueness in life. Flora enjoyed family fun times, especially during the holidays...OMG! Who will now make the crockpot greens & peach cobbler (lol)?
Flora graduated from Washington High School, South Bend, Indiana, attended Brown Mackie and went on to start her career in banking with Teachers Credit Union where she served until her passing.
Flora was blessed with three heartbeats whom she loved and adored greatly. As the dedicated mother of Erick Marsh, Brandon Yancey-Tates, and Blake Adam Maxwell, Flora (as petite as she was) would move mountains for her boys!! Truly there was no greater love. Flora fought a long and courageous battle with Lupus, and what a fighter she was. Through it all, she always had that beautiful smile on her face that would light up the whole room.
