Frank Davies Obituary

Mr. Frank Davies Sr. was born to the union of Mille Bass and Lymon Davis in a village located in Arkansas. If you ever met Frank you would know him as Greaseball, Housecat, Fishman, and Stunt Man or just Uncle Frank! Frank traveled the world as he proudly served his country, earning the title of WWII Vet and P.O.W. Frank also was a Mason. What a man of many talents! He was passionate about what he loved, and if you came by the house, you will find him playing the guitar and the harmonica and occasionally you would see him ride through the parades of South Bend on his motorcycle sporting his horned helmet. Frank was a member of the Tough Riders Motorcycle Club. He was a person who believed in hard work.... And he taught his children that as well. Upon retirement from AM General Frank took up other trades such as selling fish, and hauling cast iron from Indiana to Bremen.

Frank was married for 59 years the love of his life Ethel Davis (Lady Dyno-mite) who proceeded him in death. Also proceeding him in death were his Mother Millie Bass and Father Lymon Davis. His children, Frank Davis Jr, Sherrell Winston and siblings — Odell Thompson, Clifton Davis "Uncle Jerry", Lymon Davis Jr., Tommy Davis (Uncle Tommy), James Davis, Robert Davis, and Ardell Redding.

He is survived by his children Pamela Coleman, Tanya (Will) Terry, Harold Davis, Kelli (Andrew) Howard, Isaiah Butler and Natasha Jones. His siblings St. Ray Davis and Juanita Jennings. His grandchildren; Ralph, Jennifer, John, Autumn, LaToya, Johnathan (Raven), David, Trey, Chloe "Tee", Nicole (Jason), Brittany, Shannon, Terrell (Kelsey), Lashawnda, Lawanda, Valencia, Ashlyn, Noah, Autumn and Andrew. Frank left a tribe of nieces and nephews and a village of great nieces and nephews along with a very special niece LaWanda (Harold) Smith to cherish the memories, and share the special stories of Uncle Frank. Also to share the special memories are 3 generations of grandchildren! Lifelong friends, Willie Beasley, Marti Murray, Roselee Parris, Eugene & Betty Williams.

Frank lived his life exactly by the famous words of the singer/songwriter Frank Sinatra: "l did it my way!" And that he did!
