Freda Braylock

Freda Braylock, 71, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Sister and loving sister-in-law, passed away from this life on October 9, 2023 in her home.

On May 30, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois, Freda was born to the union of Fred and Pauline Benjamin. Both parents preceded her in death. At the age of 1, her parents moved to South Bend Indiana where she received her formal education through the South Bend Community School Corporation, graduating from Washington High School and continuing her education at IUSB in South Bend, Indiana.

Freda worked at Transpo, she retried from Transpo after 32 years. Freda was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Frances Burks, Sister-in-law Frances Jean Burks, Sister Beverly Benjamin, Niece, Yvette McCullough.
 

Freda leaves to cherish her memories her Husband Fred Braylock, Daughter, Erica Braylock, Son, Troy Stokes, Stepson Freddie Braylock Jr., Brother, Nate Burks, Grandchildren: Natailya Stokes, Brandon Powell (Erin Lane), Lorenzo Powell, Brian Powell (Allie Jimenez), Freddie Braylock III, Larry Powell III. Great Grandchildren: Jayce Callion, Rhyann Callion, Brandon Powel Jr., Bri'ysn Powell, Jaxon Powell, Xaiver Powell. Sisters: Jeanette McCullough (George), Darlene Herron (Jimmie), Brigid Poindexter. Nieces: Lakita Levine, Yolanda McCullough, Jimeka Langon (Chris), Jennell Mathews (Jermain), Jilaysia, Breanna Poindexter, Calice. Nephews: Jathen, Brayden, Tyron, Giovonni. Freda leaves a host of nephews, cousins, aunts, special friends.
