Gregory T. Lewis Sr.

Gregory Tyrone Lewis Sr., 66, a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and friend of South Bend Indiana, passed away on Monday March 9, 2020 with his wife by his side. Gregory, known as "Tyrone" by all those who knew him, was born to Bonnie and Tom Walker Sr., on January 31, 1954.

Gregory was educated in the South Bend School System. Gregory also was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving his Country for 3 years. Gregory met the love of his life, Cynthia Wright in 1980 and they married in 1998. Gregory worked many jobs before settling at Centennial Steel until the company went out of business. During his free time Gregory enjoyed lifting weights, watching movies, drawing, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Gregory was a devoted Jehovah Witness.

Survivors left to cherish his memory includes his wife and companion of 40 years, Cynthia Lewis (Wright) of South Bend, Indiana. Three sons: Gregory D. Lewis Jr of Elkhart, Indiana, Aaron (Latishia), and Terrence “Terry” Lewis of South Bend, Indiana. Seven Grandchildren La’Nashia, Zephariah, Zoey, Brianna, Nevaeh, Ma’Leah, and Cyn’thia Lewis of South Bend, Indiana. Three Sisters: Dianna (Joanna), Denise, and Debra Walker of South Bend, Indiana. Five brothers: Craig, Tony (Brenda), Samuel, Jermaine (Kesonia) Walker of South Bend, Indiana, and Tom Walker Jr. of Los Vegas, NV. Special friend, Danny and Alice Parker of South Bend, Indiana.

Gregory was proceed in death by his mother and father, Bonnie Jean and Tom Walker Sr.; Maternal grandparents, Octavia and Charlie Lewis. Mother-in-law, Lurentha Wright. Three brothers: Dennis, Ricky, and Ronald Walker. Two nieces: LaAyre Doaks and Jayqwena Pollard. One great-nephew, James Wash III. Best Friend, Terry Craft.
