Mrs. Hattie Mae Clark departed this life on January 2, 2024, at 9:05 am, at Majestic Care of Goshen. She was born on June 21, 1939, in Levesque, Arkansas to the union of Mack Neal and Nicy Gary. She relocated to Elkhart, IN in 1951.
Hattie retired from Carlton Manufacturing as a seamstress after many years of dedicated service. Because of her love for sewing, she made clothes for her children and the robes for the Angelic Choir. While a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church, she served in the Missionary Society, on the Usher Board, and in the Choir. She was also a dedicated member of the Christian Harmonizers. During her bible studying time, she loved referencing her favorite study guide, "God's Word Made Plain." Hattie was extremely gifted in her prayer life; from which she led souls to Christ while loving and supporting newly found friends.
In 1965, she married her husband, of 52 years, and this union was blessed with eight children: Pambana Uishi (Imhoptep Adisa) and Murth Lee (Rebecca) Ramsey, Jr., both of Indianapolis, IN, Damon Ramsey of Long Beach, CA, Shirley (Michael) Grossnickle of South Bend, IN, Theodore Leonard (Dawn) Clark, Jr. of Riverside, CA, Devon Lydelle Clark of South Bend, IN, and Dr. Davetta Machelle (Ralph) Hammond of Riverside, CA.
