Howard Ford Obituary

Howard Earl Ford, a remarkable man with an infectious spirit, a zest for life, and a heart full of love, was born on December 3, 1957, in Greenville, MS. Known to friends and family as Howard, he went on to live a rich and fulfilling life, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those he encountered. He was a beloved husband, a devoted father, a doting grandfather, and a cherished friend. In every role he played in life, Howard exemplified strength, resilience, and unyielding love.

Based in South Bend, Indiana, Howard was a man of many talents. He started his career at The Lebermuth Company, where he diligently served as a warehouse associate for a decade. However, his passion for culinary arts led him to switch gears and pursue a career as a chef. He found his true calling at Frankie's BBQ, where he retired as a chef and manager, cooking was his passion.

Howard is survived by his loving wife, Ella Ford, whom he married on September 15, 1983. Their love story was one of mutual respect, admiration, and unwavering commitment. Together, they raised three wonderful children: DaiJohnna Ford, Howard Jr., and John Hill all of South Bend, Indiana. His passing leaves an immense void in the lives of his ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who looked up to him as their pillar of strength and their beacon of wisdom. Howard was preceded in death by his father, mother Lillian Ford, and sisters Vera Armstrong and Tonya Ford.
