Howard Tell Jr.

Howard Tell Jr. was born September 12, 1960, in South Bend, Indiana to Howard Sr. and Mary Tell.

Howard Jr. was raised on the west side of South Bend also known as The Lake Community. He attended Harrison Elementary School and he graduated from Washington High School. He later served in the Marine Reserves.

Howard Tell Jr. passed away at 10:44 a.m. on March 19, 2022, at Center for Hospice, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Sr. & Mary Lee Tell; his brothers: Willie Silas Jr. and Robert E. Tell; his sister, Millie Silas-Robinson; and a niece, Laura Robinson.

Howard is survived by his daughter, Nakea (Teron) Reid of South Bend, Indiana; his son, Theodore Tell of Nashville, Tennessee; his brothers: Melvin L. (Derise) Silas of Grand Prairie, Texas and William T. Tell of Fort Worth, Texas; granddaughter, Tayja Reid; great-granddaughter, Tayla Reid Alexander of South Bend, Indiana; his nieces: Ashleigh Silas of Atlanta, Georgia and Lisa Robinson of Memphis, Tennessee; his nephews: Brandon Silas of Indianapolis, Indiana, Elijah (Essence) Tell of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Ethan Tell of Grand Prairie, Texas; stepdaughter, Erica Markham; along with a host of cousins and friends.

Howard’s favorite past times were watching sports and a good cocktail or a refreshing beverage. He never met a stranger. He was loved by everyone.
