It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Irvin Judge Love, also known to many as Silk or Jr. Born on August 16, 1963, in Rome, Sunflower County, MS, USA, Irvin was a man of extraordinary wit, talent, and resilience. With an infectious laugh and a knack for storytelling, he brought joy to every gathering, ensuring that those around him were always entertained and enlightened.
Irvin was a talented cook, famed for his ability to transform everyday ingredients into mouthwatering meals at KFC, where he worked until his retirement. Beyond his culinary prowess, Irvin was a multi-talented individual with a passion for basketball, chess, music, and family. He was an accomplished bass guitarist and drummer, often playing for the Pilgrim Rest Jubilees. Beyond the stage, he was a master chess player, a testament to his smart and strategic mind. Above all, his love for his family shone through everything he did. As the saying goes, "Family is not an important thing, it's everything," and for Irvin, this was undoubtedly true.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Lakisha Gary, his 15-year-old son, Jayden Love, his older sister, Verdia Crenshaw, his baby brother Victor Love, and his numerous nieces and nephews. Irvin now joins his father, Irvin Sr., his mother, Vanilla Love, and his brothers, James Love and Omaka Smith, in heavenly peace.
Irvin Love, a man as resilient as he was witty, as talented as he was smart, will be remembered for his enduring spirit and his immense love for his family. His life stories, some unbelievable yet all captivating, will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of hearing them. We invite you to share your cherished memories and photos of Irvin on his memorial page, as we continue to celebrate the remarkable life he lived. His legacy will forever be etched in our hearts and minds.
