James S. H. Harvey Jr.

James Sherman Herbert Harvey Jr., 66, of Valparaiso, Indiana, formerly of Hazel Crest, Illinois, departed this life on Monday, September 28, 2020, at St. Mary Medical Center, Hobart, Indiana. James was born in Chicago, Illinois, on March 13, 1954, to James and Harriett Harvey, who both preceded him in death; along with a son, Steven Harvey.

James retired in 2013 after 26 years of service with the United States Postal Service. His passions were watching sports events, going for drives, and working.

James is survived by his daughter, Stefanie Harvey of South Bend, Indiana; one sister, Jeanette (Lloyd) Hinton of Calumet City, Illinois; two brothers: Leonard Harvey of Illinois, and Larry Harvey of St. Louis, Missouri.

Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery, South Bend, Indiana.
