Jasai Mahone

With profound sadness, we announce the departure of Jasai Amir Mahone, who entered into rest on February 26, 2026. Born in South Bend, Indiana, on January 11, 2026, to Ra'Tavia McAfee and Jamier Mahone, Jasai's life, though brief, was a beacon of joy, love, and pure innocence. His radiant smile, the funny faces he would make, his enthusiastic kicks, and his expert eyerolling brought immeasurable happiness to those around him. Jasai's unique personality and charming antics became the heart and soul of the family, leaving an indelible imprint on all who knew him.

Jasai is survived by a loving family who cherished each moment with him. He leaves behind his parents, Ra'Tavia McAfee and Jamier Mahone; his grandparents, Selena Mahone, Dennis Mahone, Ashley Pfeifer, and Ray Pfeifer; his uncles, Kayvion Scott, James Bowders, Vincent Bowders, Ray Jr., Raquonis McAfee, Zai'vion Mahone, Keeion Mahone, Izaiah Easton, and Dylan Mahone; and his aunts, Kaylee Bowders, London McAfee, De'Shawnia Peate, Cynne Mahone, and Amiyah Peate. Jasai was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Glen Pfeifer, his maternal great-great grandmother, Kathryn Pfeifer, his maternal great-great grandmother, Della Mea Gillon, his paternal great-great grandfathers, Curtiss Mahone, Robert "BoBit" Irons, and his special cousin Da'Marion Jr.

A visitation for Jasai will be held at Alford's Mortuary at 1222 Napier Street, South Bend, Indiana, 46601 on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 11:00 am EST. This will be followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 pm EST at the same location. We invite all who were touched by Jasai's life to remember and celebrate his extraordinary journey with us.
