Jerome Jay Lee, a charismatic soul born on March 25, 1967, in South Bend, Indiana, has left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Jerome had a loving nature, generous spirit, and could make friends with anyone wherever he went. He lived his life with a fervor that was both infectious and inspiring, carving a place in the hearts of many. Jerome's talents were many and varied, but it was on the basketball court where they shone brightest. His smooth handle and pull-up jump shot was the stuff of a local legend. He once scored over 150 points in a men's basketball league single game, a testament to his talent and tenacity. Jerome was also a devout Notre Dame football fan, taking pride and pleasure in every game. His passion for sports was only surpassed by the love he held for his family.
Jerome is survived by his children, Cortez (Hannah) Lee, Alysha Lee, and Amarion Lee, his brother Michael (Dorothy) Lee Sr., and his grandchildren, Noel, Nico, and Nehemiah. He also leaves behind his nephews; Michael Lee Jr., Marcus Lee, Ricky (Kristen) Lee Jr., and his nieces; Shaunte'D Lee and Raquel (Zac) Puffer.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Lee Jr. and Delores Lee, and his brothers, Anthony Lee and Ricky Lee Sr. As we mourn the loss of our beloved Jerome, we take solace in the memories that live on and his captivating spirit that will remain in our hearts forever. He was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
