Jerry was affectionally known as ‘Monk’ around the Southeast Side, of South Bend, IN. Jerry Neal Lewis born April 26, 1952, in Eudora, Arkansas. He transitioned from this life at Memorial Hospital on Sunday November 12, 2023, leaving family and friends heart broken. However, we know he is in no more pain. And with God’s grace and mercy may we find comfort and peace with his passing.
Jerry was a God–Fearing and willing to testify about God’s goodness to whomever would listen. His faith was the corner stone of his life. His love for his family was deep and he never hesitated to show his affection. Jerry’s sense of humor was epic, and he enjoyed conversations about the latest news and worldly events. His sweet tooth almost matched his love of cooking and BBQing. Jerry enjoyed shopping and making sure his kids, grandkids, and great grandchild had the best. He was a caring person and loved being surrounded by family and friends.
He confessed his belief in Christ and was baptized at an early age. Jerry was a member of Ardmore Church of Christ, Pastor Hardie Blake until his death. He attended Riley High School.
