Kameron Markel Butler departed from this life on December 30, 2020, at the age of 25. Kameron’s life began on March 9, 1995, with his twin sister Koren, in Flowood, Mississippi where he was born to proud parents Stanley and Sheila (Donaldson) Butler.
He attended Lanier High School in Jackson, Mississippi, and graduated in 2014. He was employed as a general laborer. He loved basketball and played all of his life as a short-statured point guard and tough defender to be reckoned with. He trained with Mr. Victorio (Vic) Belcher who was training Kam to be a world-class boxer like himself. He held over 20 trophies in first place for various Karate competitions. He cherished his mother and his family, hanging out with his friends and cousins and playing with his children.
Kameron is survived by three daughters, Eriana Butler of South Bend, Indiana, Kam`Ree Butler and Kam`Miya Butler, both of Benton Harbor, Michigan; three sons: Kameron Markel Butler Jr., and Kayden Marshawn Butler, both of South Bend and Kylin Butler of Benton Harbor, Michigan; his father, Stanley Butler of Jackson, Mississippi; and his mother, Sheila (Donaldson) Butler of Ridgeland, Mississippi; His twin sister, Koren Ranell Butler of Dallas, Texas; god-brothers: Dylan Parker and Darrin Nicolas Storks, both of Clinton, Mississippi; maternal grandmother, Mattie Donaldson of South Bend; paternal grandparents, Levi Butler and Bonnie Butler of Jackson, Mississippi; aunties, RueNell Hill of South Bend and Rose Broome of Memphis, Tennessee; and his “Uncle June” Archie (JoAnne) Donaldson Jr. of South Bend, Indiana. A close cousin Teena Hill and Reggie and Darius Donaldson who were cousins but like his uncle’s. He had a host of cousins who he grew up with whom he cherished and loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Archie Donaldson Sr.; and aunt, Erica Donaldson of South Bend; and two uncles: Monte Hill of South Bend, Indiana and Levidous Butler of Jackson, Mississippi.
Graveside services will also be held in Jackson, Mississippi. Arrangements will be handled by Westhaven Funeral Home but services will occur at Autumn Woods Memorial Gardens at 4000 W. Northside Dr., Jackson, Mississippi on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. for his final rest.
