Kameron Simmons

Cameron Darius Simmons, a cherished and beloved young man, was born on September 6, 2004, in South Bend, Indiana, and passed away on May 18, 2023. Cameron was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him, with his infectious smile and kind-hearted nature. A dedicated student, Cameron was a proud member of the Rise Up Academy in South Bend, where he consistently displayed a strong work ethic, a thirst for knowledge, and a genuine passion for learning. Cameron's unique qualities and accomplishments will be forever celebrated and remembered by his family.

Cameron is survived by a large and loving family, including his mother, Kerrian Bowman; father, Kennan Simmons; sisters, Kena Simmons of South Bend, IN, C'Keyara Simmons of Benton Harbor, MI, Chanel Holiday of Chicago, IL, and Chionna Marie Smiley of St. Paul MN; brothers, Christopher Bowman, Jonathan Bowman and Cadon Simmons all of South Bend, IN, Milton Young, and Kennan D. Simmons Jr. Cameron is also survived by his aunts Valarie D. Strickland of South Bend, IN, Regina Nettles of Chicago, IL and Cecilia Hubbard. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Paulette Simmons; aunt, Crystal Simmons; uncles, Kevin Simmons and Christian Hubbard; and great-uncle, Uncle Bobby Robert Hubbard. Cameron's memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his warmth, generosity, and love.

A funeral service honoring Cameron's life will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 2:00 am EDT at Alford's Mortuary, located at 1222 Napier Street, South Bend, Indiana, 46601. The family invites all who knew and loved Cameron to join them in commemorating his life and the incredible impact he had on those around him.
