Kathie Ann Sconiers

Mrs. Kathie Ann Sconiers, 66, a beloved daughter, sister, wife and friend, who resided in Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Kathie was born on March 8, 1956, in Roxboro, NC, to the late Dallas and Mildred Rimmer.

Kathie, baptized at Michigan City Christian Church, was a God-fearing woman who loved God and her family. Among other things, Kathie spent many years caring for the sick, injured, convalescent, and disabled as a licensed practical nurse (LPN). In her retirement, Kathie’s passionsincluded cooking, reading the Bible and watching soap operas.

Her surviving family members left to cherish hermemory include her siblings: Pennie Parker, Brenda Lewis and Jerry Rimmer; her daughters: Angela Campbell, Jessica Mills, Stacy Johnson and Kimberly Mills; her stepson, Harvey Sconiers, Jr; her sixteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other family.  

Kathie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Dallas and Mildred Rimmer, as well as by her beloved husband of 22 years, Harvey Sconiers (who passed on October 29, 2020).

Services for Mrs. Sconiers will be held on Wednesday November 30, 2022 at 10 A.M in the chapel  of Alford’s Mortuary, 1222 Napier Street, South Bend, Indiana 46601. Reverend Mr. Melvin Tardy, Jr. will preside over the service. Friends may visit an hour prior at 9 a.m with the family. Arrangements have been entrusted with Alford’s Mortuary Inc.
