Kevin D. Jennings

Kevin D. Jennings Sr., born on September 26, 1961, in South Bend, IN, USA, bids you all a fond farewell. I, Kevin, am no longer in this world physically, but my spirit and memories are always with you. I write this obituary not as a final goodbye, but as a celebration of a life lived with passion, love, and a hint of stubbornness. I know I was not perfect, nor even the best father, but I loved unconditionally. To my beloved children, Ahleah, DaWayne Sr., Kevin Jr., Deahndra, Ariel, and Joshua, always remember that love is our bond, and that bond should never be broken for anyone or anything. I did my best to care for your mother, my dear wife, EllaJewel, and you, my most precious treasures.

I spent my years assembling all sorts of things at Michiana Pallet, but my most significant assembly was that of our family. To my siblings, James, James M., Johnnie, Janice, Leon, Michael, Carol, Teresa and Tony, we may have taken wrong turns, but we are still a family. I hope my departure serves as a wake-up call for all of us to cherish the bond we share. Don't forget, it's not always about you. To my dear mother, Peggy, thank you for the love and lessons. I am joining our loved ones who've gone before us - our father, James Sr., and siblings, Joseph, Patricia, Demetrius and brother-in-law Roland Nelson.

To my chosen family Teresa Young, Donna Nelson. I thank you for the unconditional love and I am very grateful that my flaws were not thrown in my face. We were able to work and grind through times and I loved y'all for that. You are my sisters (brother). Thank you for including me into your family. And to the "Old fart", my mother-in-law, Gloria Timberlake. I love you!

To my little best friend, Jazmine, Pap Pap loves you! You continue to do good in school and make me proud. To my host of grandkids, I wish I had more time to get to know you all but unfortunately, God had other plans. But if there is anything I could say to you, it would be to live with no regrets, cherish the little things and appreciate everything. Love everyone and hold no grudges.

Special thanks to Aaron White and Ken'Quis Crawford for showing up and being there when I needed whatever for me and my family and being there for my grandbaby.
